call for papers
Papers typically address new ideas in the fields of battery use, application, and maintenance as well as technical advances and industry concerns. Presenters should plan for enough content for a 20 minute session time. Your 20 minute presentation will discuss your paper, research and findings, and include your slide presentation. Typically, there are three papers presented in each session, followed by a Q&A where the three presenters take audience questions for 30 minutes. (Ten minutes is allocated for each paper.)
Battcon welcomes first time and previous presenters.
You may submit an abstract on battery use, application, maintenance, or any battery related topic or one of the following categories.

Abstract and Biography - Submit a 100 word abstract of your paper's main points and conclusions as a Word file along with a Biography Form. Email the abstract and biography to: Jack Mack, Battcon Publications, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Abstracts and biographies are due by February 28th.
About the Biography Form - This form is for placing biographies in the Program Guide and Battcon Web site. Your contact information is not shared, but certain contact info may be printed upon request from you.
Acceptance Criteria - Acceptance of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance of a paper. Final papers are subject to acceptance by Battcon as stated in the Battcon Author's Style Guide. Refer to the Author's Style Guide for details regarding originality, publication elsewhere, copyright requirements, noncommercialism, conference standards, solicitation of more papers than there are presentation slots, acceptance and selection of papers, and related topics.
Paper and Copyright - Once your abstract is approved, please submit your final paper and a Copyright Release by March 1st. Email the paper and your completed Copyright Release to email@example.com.
Paper Review and Approval - Papers will be reviewed by Battcon and you will be notified of acceptance and/or any edits the committee requests. After your paper is approved, the paper description, paper title, your name, job title, and company name will be posted to the Battcon website. Contact information will not be posted to the Web.
PowerPoint Slides - Slides for approved papers are due March 31st. Email your slides to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Orientation - At the conference, presenters should plan to attend a breakfast orientation meeting. We will answer any last minute questions and address logistic updates at this time.
Attire - Business casual is the typical dress code for Battcon attendees. Presenters may choose to wear a sports coat and/or tie if they prefer.
Registration - Presenters must be registered attendees of Battcon. Registration details for presenters will be sent once your paper is approved.
