Frank has been the President of VYCON since 2010 and joined the company in 2007 as the Senior Vice-President of Sales. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a pre-revenue start-up to the largest independent commercial flywheel energy storage company in the market. Today VYCON has over 1500 or 450mW of installed flywheel energy storage systems around the world being used for mission critical back-up and for capturing backing energy from electric rail applications. Prior to VYCON, Frank held senior level management positions with several manufacturing companies focused on energy storage and mission critical/back-up power including Pentadyne Corporation, Cherokee International, Active Power, Overland Data, Exide Electronics and Square D. While at Pentadyne, Frank secured the single largest order for flywheels worth $25M for an application with the USAF. Frank earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University in Industrial Technology and received his Master’s degree in International Business from West Coast University.
