Planning and Engineering Supervisor
Brian Hattery has been with American Electric Power for 15 years, holding positions in the transmission field protection and controls and station engineering groups. In 2016, he moved to the station policies and procedures team for AEP’s Transmission Field Services, where he leads the DC supply working group. The working group oversees the battery and charger installation and maintenance policies and practices for the company. They also provide all training for field employees and provide a conduit for field interaction with the substation design and equipment standards groups. He is currently the supervisor for the station policies and procedures team. Brian has also participated in the preparation for numerous NERC audits as the DC supply SME, and assisted with different NERC mitigation plans involving DC supply. Brian is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Ohio Christian University and is a registered professional engineer with the State of Ohio.
